At the finish – Monday 16th May 2016 – the end of STAGE 6

This was once again another great ride through Scotland. Starting off from the City of Inverness I followed some great routes alongside Loch Ness, The Caledonia Canal, forest trails, old railway lines, Loch Lomond & The River Clyde into the City of Glasgow. Monday 16th May – Glasgow to home by train

I spent yesterday evening at the Premier Inn hotel & then today had a late start as my train didn’t leave until 13:40 from Glasgow Central station only a five minute ride away. Traffic in the city was light & getting to the station was easy using the marked local cycle routes. Glasgow seems to be a very cycle friendly city & car drivers mindful of cyclists as well. After a not so good night in the B&B I had an early breakfast & was on the road by 08:45hrs, once again the weather was fine & sunny.
