Starting off from the City of Aberdeen I mainly followed the coast line although it was not as remote as previous rides passing through built up areas & coastal resorts. [codepeople-post-map]I was booked on the 13:30 train from Edinburgh Waverley to London Kings Cross & so left my hotel for a short ride to the station via the infamous Princes Street, one of the main thorough fares in the City of Edinburgh being the main shopping street its still as busy as ever & public transport has the priority, mainly trams & buses – I’ve cycled this road before. When I arrived in St Andrews I came across a BP garage with a car wash facility so wheeled Diana over to it & gave her a good hose down with a jet wash to get rid of the mud, grass & sand she had collected in her vital parts.
