I got through last nights stay at The Schooner ok I’m heading for North Brunton which is about 6 miles north of The City of Newcastle, looking on a map it’s in the area of a place called Wide Open, I’m staying at another Travelodge. Today I’m heading for Alnmouth via NCN1 on the coastal route passing through Scremerston & Ancroft where my great great grandfather on the Porteous side of my family once lived, my grandmother from the same family was born here. Leaving Musselburgh I’m following NCN 76 east & then south to Berwick Upon Tweed passing through Haddington, Dunbar & Eyemouth. I’m booked into a Travelodge Hotel for the night just outside the town of Berwick.
